Artist Biography

I am Katy and I am 9 years old and in Year 5.

“Since I was little I have enjoyed sketching, doodling and creating crafty things. I read A LOT, enjoy playing sport (particularly tennis, netball and swimming) and I love spending time with my family.”

 

About the Picture 

“I really enjoyed using chalk pastels for the first time. I loved how bold and vivid the colours were. I didn’t really plan my picture, I just let my imagination and love of colour take over. My aim was for the portrait to make people smile.”
