Description

Assignment from John Tasker of Adelaide, gent., the Reverend Charles Hobbes Rice of Cheam, co. Surrey, and Mary Davis of Leicester, widow (for their interests, see DR259/2), with the consent of the Stratford-upon-Avon Corporation, to Edmund Wood, late of Stratford-upon-Avon, but now of Aylesbury, co. Bucks., chemist, for £420, of No. 12 Bridge Street, late in the tenure of William Cole, since of Edmund Wood and now of Thomas Twamley, bounded on the east by a tenement of Jeffrey Bevington Lowe, esq., now in the occupation of John James Nason, surgeon, and on the west by the premises described in DR259/3; being one of three messuages leased by the Stratford-upon-Avon Corporation to John Gill on 9 April 1832 (DR259/1).
