Gift with warranty by Galfridus of Schapleng' and Walter his son to Geoffrey of Assessho Gurdelere in exchange for 40s. which he gave them in advance of all their land and tenement with its messuage, curtilage and garden which they held in Edreston [Edstone] by gift and feoffment of Gregory of Halford of Edreston as it appears in the charter of feoffment as he himself bears witness. To hold of chief lord of that fee for the due and usual service Witnesses: lord Roger of Ayllesbur', William Blancfrount, Barn' of Merston, Walter le Botyler, William of Kyrkeby, John of Alemayne, John of Cotenill. Given: at Edreston on the feast day of St Augustine the Bishop, 4 Edward III [28 August 1330]. Seal: tag, split in two, surviving; remnants of white wax on one Latin
