Lease and Release with Bond: Snitterfield

Description

Indentures of Lease and Release dated 20th 21st November 1822 between Richard Rose of Loxley, maltster of the first part, John Gardner of Snitterfield, cooper of the second part, and Thomas Cresswell of Stratford-on-Avon, gent. of the third part,whereby a cottage garden etc. in Snitterfield formerly in the occupation of Joseph Rose, father of the said Richard Rose having the highway leading from Bearley to Warwick on the South part and a cottage belonging to the Overseers of Snitterfield then in the occupation of Edward Goode, on the North side a cottage and garden belonging to Wm. Roberts and on the West side land belonging to Robert Philips,was conveyed by Richard Rose to John Gardner for £80. Signed: Richard Rose and John Gardner. Seal stamp bearing letter 'C' [Cresswell?]. Witnesses: Joseph Cresswell and Charles Cresswell of Startford-on-Avon. Bond dated 21st November 1822 by Richard Rose to John Gardner to indemnify against the Dower of the wife of Richard Rose.
