Guild of the Holy Cross: Grants and leases

Description

Grant by John son of Reginald Smith (Faber) of Snitenfeld, to Robert son of Richard Jurden of Druyemarston, of a messuage and eight acres of land in Snitenfeld, between a close formerly of the said Reginald and the house of Walter le Wyse, and of a certain meadow called `Spinosum pratum (thorny meadow) with the land called `Bottes' lying between the land of the lord of Snittenfeld, which Walter de Wynchulle formerly held in villeinage, and the said meadow. Dated at Snitenfeld, Friday next after the feast of St. Peter the Apostle, 34 Edward I (1 July, 1306) Witnesses: William Morin of Snitenfeld, Robert Morin, John de Payto, John le Blound, Henry de Hamsted, and others Seal of green wax, circular, broken.
