Grant by John Saucer, chaplain, to Thomas le Spencer of Stretford upon Auen and Christiana his wife, of two messuages, one in Henle-stret, between the messuage of John le Wytsmyth and that of John de Cokfeld, lord of Clopton, on the upper side, the other in Helle lone, between the messuages of Thomas de Compton' and Geoffrey le Bayly, for term of their lives, paying 4d. yearly to John Laci, Thomas Mullyng and the other brethren of the Gild of the Holy Cross of Stratford upon Auen; with remainder to the said brethren of the Guild and their successors Witnesses: John le Wytesmyth `prepositus ville Stretfordie', Robert de la Corner and William le Taylor, `cachepolles', William de Welyngton', William de Otyndon', Thomas de Otyndon', John Kyniot, Richard Fille and others Dated at Stretford upon Auen, Christmas Day, 32, Edw.III Endorsed: Carta Christiane Gorschauwe in Henleystrete et Hellone; and in red ink John --- Seal of white wax, a pointed oval, broken.
