Description

Grant by Margery, daughter of Thomas Edemay of Stratford upon Avon `in pura virginitate et plena etate mea' to William le Frettere, of a half burgage in Stratford and 10 acres of land which she inherited after the death of John Edgemay, the half burgage lying in Schepestret between tenements of the same William Frettere and John Lacy, the land lying in the fields of le Oldetoun of Stratford Witnesses: Robert Attecorner `prepositus ville', Nicholas Saucer and Thomas Benet, `cachepolles', Walter Brehull', Richard Fille, all of Stratford, Adam Aylemond and John Polote of Old Stratford and many others Dated at Stratford, Wednesday in the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, 36 Edw.III Seal of white wax, circular. Four teazleheads in saltire. Legend indecipherable. (Engraved in Fisher's Antiquities, no.62)
