Description

Indenture of lease by Nicholas Saucer, and Thomas Compton, aldermen of the Gild of the Holy Cross of Stratford upon Auen, and Thomas Clopton and Thomas Benet, proctors of the same Gild, to Ralph Saucer and Matilda his wife and John their son, of a grange situated at the corner of Henleiestret between a messuage of the Holy Cross and the highway next Hellelane, for term of their lives, at an annual rent of 4s. the lessors reserving the right to distrain for non-payment Witnesses: Richard Fille, `prepositus', Thomas Plommer and Mark Cokes `cachepolles' and others Dated at Stratford, Thursday in the feast of St. Hilary, 46 Edw.III Seals: (1) Circular, of brown wax, broken.
