Description

Indenture of lease from John Leke, master and John Kyniot and William Lokyer, proctors, with the assent of the aldermen of the Gild of the Holy Cross etc. of Stratford upon Auen, to John Colyer and Agnes his wife of a half burgage `non edificatum', in Rotherstrete between a half burgage of the same Gild formerly of John James and a tenement of the said John and Agnes, for 60 years at an annual rent of 8d. and to build a house thereon next the highway there covering the whole space of the said half burgage within the space of the next four years, and to keep the same in good repair Witnesses: John Mayel, barker, `capitalis ballivus', Thomas Payntour and Richard Holy, `subballivi', Thomas Smyzth, Robert Thorn' and others Dated at Stratford, Sunday after the feast of St. Faith the Virgin, 9 Henry V Both seals lost
