Description

Demise from John Harrwell, John Lee, esq. John Hull and John Mortemer, chaplains, to Thomas Baxster and Matilda his wife of Stratford upon Auen of a plot of ground (placeam) with a garden adjoining and an alley (chero) on the left side, 24 feet in length and 4 in breadth, in Stratford in Wodestrete, between the tenement of Alice Yate and that late of John Eburton, and extending from the said street to a garden of the Gild of the Holy Cross formerly Christian Downdlyon's in length; which ground and garden the lessors, together with Robert Trowt, chaplain, deceased, had of the gift and feoffment of Nicholas Sawser Witnesses: John Weoley and Richard Compton `subballivi in villa de Stratford', John Kyngis, William Brasyer, John Blaunfron and many others Dated at Stratford, Monday after the feast of SS. Tiburtius and Valerian, 2 Henry VI Seals of red wax: (1) lost. (2) Circular, a figure paying to St. Katherine S' Rob--- De --- (Engraved in Fisher's Antiquities, no.102). (3) Circular, a garb.
