Counterpart of lease, indented, from Nicholas Leke, chaplain of the Gild of the Holy Cross etc., of Stratford upon Auen, to Thomas Leke, of a tenement in Stratford in Shepustrete, in which Geoffrey Webbe then dwelt, between two tenements then of John Wasch', esq., and late of John Wyard, for term of his life at an annual rent of 18 shillings, and the said Thomas shall collect the rents of all the tenants of the said Nicholas within the town of Stratford, receiving from him annually 26s.8d. until he shall have paid him the sum of [blank] and the said Thomas shall supervise the repair of all the tenements of the said Nicholas and have 5 shillings annually for collecting the rents and his labour Witnesses: John Burnham, `capitalis ballivus', John Mayel, junior, and William Beoley, `subballivi', John Clyfford, William Lokyer and others Dated at Stratford, Friday after the feast of Epiphany, 13 Henry VI Seal of red wax, oval.
