Description

Deed, indented, between John Blaunfron of Stratford upon Auen, glover, and Roger Forst of the same, mercer, witnessing that, whereas the said Roger is bound to the said John in £40 to be paid at Michaelmas next according to a bond on condition that if the said John should at any time be impleaded by the said Roger Forst and Margaret his wife for a tavern in Stratford in which wine was formerly sold, with all the shops, solars houses and other buildings above it, situated in Middelrewe between a tenement of the Blessed Mary on the west and the highway on the north, east and south as in a charter made thereof to the said John, Roger and Margaret made by Thomas Compton of Schepuston more fully appears, then the said bond shall remain in force, or otherwise quashed (cassetur) or be of none effect Witnesses: John Mayell, junior, `capitalis ballivus', Richard Bole and John Dale, `subballivi', Thomas Leeke, John Sclatter and others Dated at Stratford, Monday after the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 17 Henry VI Seal of red wax, octagonal.
