Description

Counterpart of lease, indented, from Richard Lightffoote, master of the Gild of the Holy Cross etc., of Stratforde vppon Avyn, John Combys, Olyver Lyghtffoote, Hewgh Reynoldes, Harry Samwell, Wylliam Smyth, Thomas Wynfylde, and Richard Quyny, aldermen, Lavrence Beynton and Richard Perce, proctors of the said Gild, to Richard Lyghtffoote, baker, of two tenements in High Streete, late in the tenure of John Wylkynsson, extending from the ground of Danyell Phylyppes on the north to the ground of the College of Stratforde in the tenure of Thomas Beasonde on the south; and of a tenement in the Churchestreete late in the tenure of Robert Wootton; for 80 years at an annual rent of 5 nobles for the two tenements, and 7s.6d. for the tenement in the Church Streete Dated in the Gildhall, in the feast of St. John the Baptist, 36 Henry VIII Endorsed in a later hand: `Now William Trowte ttennatt' Seal lost
