Description

Gift with warranty by Roger of Alesbury to Agnes his mother of all his manor of Edricheston [Edstone] which he had by gift and feoffment of Philip his father, to include all his lands, tenements, rents, reversions and services of his tenants, both free and unfree, in Merstone Botiler, Wythenhay, Dodeston and Toneworth. To hold of chief lords of that fee for the due services which are by right accustomed. Witnesses: Thomas Archer, John Folewode, John Brome, John Uchener[?], Roger attegrene. Given: at Lappeworth on the Sunday before the feast of St Lucy the Virgin, 13 Richard II [12 December 1389]. Seal: red wax on tag, 1 in.: shield device.
