Burton Dassett: early deeds, Southend and Herdwick in Burton Dasset, a grant

Description

Grant by William Dastyn of Burton Dasset to Ralph Kyttun of the same and Christine his wife, for their lives and the life of the longer liver, of one acre of arable land with appurtenances in the common fields of Southend and Herdwick in Burton Dasset, half of which said acre lies in the southern field, in Brodehale beside the land of Thomas Dod and the other half in the northern field on the Hurst beside land of the said Thomas.

To hold the same acre to the said Ralph and Christine for their joint lives and the life of the longer liver, paying annually to grantor and heirs a rose on the feast of St John the Baptist in lieu of services, for twenty years after the date of the grant, and thereafter three shillings annually on the same feast.

Power granted to them to pass land by last will if die within term of twenty years.
