Description

Bond from Henry Williams of Alspath, clerk, to Arthur Gregory esq., in the penal sum of 100 marks, the condition of the bond being that, whereas the said Henry has granted to the said Arthur the patronage of the church of Corley, the said Arthur shall enjoy peaceable possession of it for ever free from any claims from the said Henry or Joan his wife. Dated: 6 April, 28 Elizabeth. Signed: Henry Wyllyams. Witnesses: William Barfore, Ralph Lucas, Humphrey Barlow. Red seal applied, papered. The letters HW. Endorsed: a bond for performance of covenants of the Rectory of Corley; 28 El. [LG] Written by Henry Williams, torn in places. Also a piece of paper, once used as an envelope for nos.
