Description

Lease from Henry son of Nicholas de Allespathe in Coventr' to Nicholas his father, of his messuage with buildings thereon in `vico comitis' [Earl Street] in Coventr' between the land of Roger Box and the land of John de Erescote and extending in length from the said street to the garden called le Erlesorchard, which premises the said Henry agrees to maintain at his own cost; to hold the same to the said Nicholas for life, rendering annually 13 shillings of silver (4 terms) with reversion to the said Henry and his heirs for ever. Witnesses: Anketill de Coleshul, bailiff of Coventr', John Leofwyne, coroner, Adam Russel, Nicholas Crumpe, John de Rydeware, Henry de Barsham, Roger Box, Thomas Marie, Roger Clerk and others. Dated at Coventr' on Saturday next after the feast of St. John and St. Paul, 27 Edward I. Tag, seal lost. Endorsed: Earles Orchard [AG]
