Description

Gift from William Dey of Coventre to Robert Shepley and William Dylcok of Coventre merchants, and Adam Hyton' of Coventre deyster, John Neuton' chaplain, and Richard Botoner of Coventre of all his lands, tenements rents, reversions and services in the town and fields of Coventre and elsewhere in the county of Warwick which he together with the said Robert, William, Adam and Laurence Cook of Coventr', merchants, had formerly been granted by William Wymondeswold of Coventre and Katherine his wife and concerning which a fine had been levied on the morrow of the Ascension last past; all which hereditaments the said Robert, William, Adam and Laurence had released to him the said William Dey; to hold the same of the chief lord of the fee. Witnesses: Laurence Cook, mayor of Coventr', John Leder and John Esturton, bailiffs of the same, John Preston', John Onley, William Bedeford', John Scardeburgh', John Wymondeswold' of Coventre and others. Dated at Coventre in the feast of the Nativity of St. John, 3 Henry V. Seal on tag: circular, red, bearing sacred monogram.
