Description

Lease with warranty from Joylinus son of Ranulph de Stivechale to Hugh son of Payne, smith of Coventr', of 3 acres of arable land in the fields of Stivechale; namely, half an acre in Parkhurne upon le Milnehul between the land which Ralph de Stretton' held and the land once belonging to Walter de Langeley; half an acre upon Ballokestone between the land of William le Westerne and the land of the said Ralph; half an acre in the same field between the land of John de Barue and the land of Ranulph son of Hugh de Stivechale; half an acre extending into the meadow of Crassewalle between the lands of the said John and Ralph; half an acre extending into the meadow of Mereden' between the land of Walter de Langel' and the land of Henry le Kallemaker'; and half an acre in le Parkhurne on le Milnehil between the land of Richard de Barue and the land of Walter de Langel'; to hold of the said Joylinus with free entrance and exit and all other appurtenances, except the meadow, for 18 years rendering annually one gillyflower at Michaelmas; and for this the said Hugh gives one mark; and should the said Joylinus wish to sell the land during the term, or to lease the same for a longer term, then the said Hugh would have the first choice of buying the same or taking up the longer term.
