Description

Assignment from Jane Wayst alias Wast of Barkswell, widow, (administratrix of the goods of George Marbury not administered by Edward Marbury, executor of the said George, also deceased) and John Gregory of Stevechall, esq., and Margaret his wife, to Simon Chamber of Bynley, gent., reciting that Arthur Gregory, late of Stevechall, deceased, father of the said John, in his lifetime was bound to George Marbury deceased in 500 marks [no. 1231] for peaceable enjoyment of a lease of 60 years of the Grange or township of Kingshull dated 22 May, 24 Elizabeth, [no. 1229], and that the said bond after the death of George Marbury and his administrator, Edward Marbury, became vested in Jane Wayst, and that, as appears by certain depositions made in the court of Chancery, the said Jane has assigned the said Bond to the said John Gregory. It is now witnessed that the said Jane Wayst, John Gregorie and Margaret his wife in performance of an order in Chancery, dated 1 June last [no. 1707] in a suit between Simon Chamber, plaintiff, and Edward Wayst (son of the said Jane) the said John Gregory and Margaret his wife, defendants, have assigned to Simon Chamber the said bond, free from incumbrances.
