Description

Lease with warranty from Reginald Malyns, knight, to John Carpenter of Purle Magna and Lucy his wife, and Reymund their son of a cottage with curtilage adjoining, and seven acres of arable and half an acre of meadow land called Ponyeslond, lying in Purle Parva, next land of Katherine Ylberd on the east, and the cottage lies in Purle Magna between the messuages of Thomas Hoket and John Page; to hold of the said Reginald for the duration of their lives, paying annually 6 shillings (2 terms), and making suit of court from three weeks to three weeks. Witnesses: Nicholas de Kentwode, Reymund Carru, John Pers, William Cok, Thomas Smyth' and others. Dated at Purle, Monday after Pentecost, 3 Richard II Three black seals on tags: i) oval, a gem; a young man's head within a border of foliage ii) oval, a crowned letter I between palm leaves.
