Description

Gift from Richard Ewotun of Balsale to Henry Richardes son of Geoffrey Rechardus and his lawful heirs of two crofts, one called Mores extending from the highway as far as the meadow called Waterford, and the other croft called le Hacur extending from the croft lately belonging to Walter Write as far as the waste of Balsale. The said Henry and his lawful heirs to hold the same from the chief lord of the fee for due and customary service, namely 7d. at the two terms of the feast of St. Mary in Quadragesima [Lent] and of St. Michael the Archangel in equal portions, with the condition that if the said Henry died without such heirs, the said lands were to pass to the nearest heirs of the said Geoffrey for ever.
