Baddesley Clinton and Rowington

Copy of gift from Bernard de Merston' to Richard Godmon in return for a certain sum of money of six crofts of land as they are enclosed by hedges and ditches lying in Baddesley Clynton' and Rowynton' of which two crofts and part of a croft lay in Baddesley Clynton' called in turn Pappeleycroft, Brounescroft with a certain piece of Ledestescroft, lying in length between the fields called Reuefeldes and Grenefeld which formerly belonged to James de Clynton', and in breadth from the wood called Haywode on the one hand and the highway leading towards Warr' on the other. The other four crofts lying in Rouhinton' called Ledestescroft, Grenefeld, Hocstude and La Lye with hedges, ditches and other appurtenances. To hold the same for ever from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service. Sealing clause. Witnesses: John de Nafford, John de Wodegate, John de Pessam, John Godman, William de Morreye, Thomas de Baddesley and others.
