Gift from John Brome of Warrewyk the younger to William Rody of an annual rent of 40s. from a messuage with fields, meadows, pastures, feedings, ponds, fisheries, groves, roads, paths, hedges, ditches and appurtenances together with woodland extending as far as Kyngeswode on the one hand, and next Nonneleyfeld', Geggegroue and Lockescroft and thus by the lane as far as Grenefeld, and on the third side by the wood of the lord of Baddesley Clynton' according to the line of trees growing there, the headland of the said wood extending as far as Ketelstyle. To hold the same for the term of the life of the said William, receiving the rent annually at the four terms of the feasts of the Annuncialtion of the Blessed Mary, the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, St. Michael the Archangel, and the Nativity of the Lord in equal portions. The said William to have the right of distraint on the said lands if the rent was in arrears beyond one month, and also on a house belonging to the said John Brome in the high street [alto Pavimento] of Warr' called le crowne on the hope. The said John Brome to grant possession to the said William Rody upon payment of 3s. 4d. Warranty clause. Sealing clause.
