Draft mortgage to secure £1100 and interest by William Hemings, S/A, surveyor and Ann his wife to Thomas Woods Weston, S/A, gent., of 2 tenements, formerly one messuage and farmhouse with barn, stable, yard, gardens and homestall at the top of Henley Street, S/A, in Hell Lane [Henley Lane/Windsor Street], one of which was lately occupied by the said William Hemings and the other by Joseph Mills, carpenter, together with enclosed ground of 2ac. 23p. on the W. side abutted on E. by Tithe Barn Rick yard, by footpath on S. by Arden Street on W. and on N. by close late of Samuel Smith, since of William Roberts, now devisees of William Roberts. Recitals (1) 25 March 1809 Mortgage by Thomas Hemings, S/A, builder, to John Whitehead, Barford, gent., for £600. (2) 6 Dec 1810 Will of Thomas Hemings leaving premises and real and personal estate to son William, charged with payment of legacy of £500 to other son Thomas. (3) 19 Feb 1811 Death of Thomas Hemings, senior. (4) 27 July 1821 Further charge of £150 on premises to John Whitehead.
