Draft release and assignment in trust to sell by Thomas Hughes, Great Rollright, Oxon., yeoman, and James Harris late Toddenham, now Brailes, yeoman (the executors and devisees in trust of Joseph Dix, Sibford Ferris, Oxon, yeoman, deceased), John Payton, S/A, gent., and Thomas Adkins, Birmingham, tailor to John Arnold, Birmingham, gent. and William Hemings, S/A, surveyor, of the Long Ground, the Shop Ground, part being a Bowling Green, the upper part of the garden of the White Lion Inn and the Langet - all in Old Stratford, all late in the tenure of William Barke, now of the representatives of Michael Roche. To repay sums of £1850 and £370 due to Thomas Adkins as heir of John Adkins. Recitals (1)-(3) as DR42/541. (4) 21 22 1808: Lease and release John Payton to Robert Hobbes and John Adkins in trust to sell, to repay £1850 bond debt to Adkins. (5) 25/6/1812 : Deed poll of John Payton to repay £350 lent by Thomas Adkins, from proceeds of sale. (6) 27 Nov 1817 : Lease and release by Thomas Adkins to John Payton of premises in DR42/541. (7) 10 Jan 1818: Repayment of £1000 mortgage (dated 23 24/6/1803 [see DR42 /541 (3)].
