Description

Gift of James de Clinton' lord of Baddesleye to Roger de Bosco de Balsale and Agnes his wife and Geoffrey his son of two acres of waste land belonging to the said James in Baddesleye, one acre lying between the land of Thomas Gamel on the one hand and the said waste land on the other, and extending in length from Morwey said waste land as far as the wood of John Peche. The other acre lying between the land of Thomas Gamel on the one hand and the road from Warrewyk' towards Burmncham on the other, and extending in length as the other acre. To hold the same freely to the said Roger, Agnes and Geoffrey and the heirs of the said Geoffrey rendering annually 8d. at the two terms, 4d. at the feast of St. Michael and 4d. at the feast of St. Mary in March in lieu of all secular services, with the condition that if the said Geoffrey died without lawful issue, the said lands were to pass to the heirs of the said Roger for ever.
