Demise from Cecilia widow of James de Clinton, formerly lord of Baddesleye, and Petronilla Widow of Thomas de Clinton, his son, to Henry de Balesale de Couentre of 14s. 2 1/4 d. rent to be taken annually from men and women of Chadeleswich' for tenements in the fee of Baddesleye, that is to say 9 1/4 d. from Thomas atte Forde, 9d. from Adam Steuenen, 18d. from Roger atte Fenne, 16d. from Thomas atte Fenne, 9d. from Roger atte Fenne, 12d. from John atte Fenne, 2s. 1d. from Geoffrey atte Wode, 17d. from John atte Broc', 2d. from Thomas de Solopia, 18d. from Robert Wiliames, 12d. from Thomas Gamel, 13d. from Matilda Gamel, 10d. from Geoffrey Gamel. The said Henry to receive these rents in equal portions at the two annual terms customary in Baddesleye with the right to distrain for any arrears of rent. The said Henry to hold the same with all appurtenances for the term of his life from the feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Mary 10 Edward III [25 March 1336] next coming, freely for four years, but after that term, if he wished to continue to hold the said rents, rendering annually 20s. in equal portions at the two usual terms in Baddesleye.
