Quitclaim from Richard Pycheley. William Yorke, Robert Whittyngton' and William Lownde, all of Leycet'r, to John Mayell' of Warrewyk' and John Baxster of the same chaplain of lands, tenements, rents, reversions, services, meadows, pastures, feedings, with hedges , ponds, ditches and moors and all other liberties and appurtenances in Baddesley Clynton' lately belonging to John Newby, who held the same by the gift and feoffment of Thomas Cokkes of Coventre passynger. The said property consisting of a messuage, four arable lands and two adjacent groves in length from Haywode parke as far as the waste of Baddesley and in breadth from Haywode parke on the one hand as far as the high road extending from the rectory of Baddesley as far as the church of Balsale `templum de Balsale'. Also an adjacent moor called Mayowys more lying in length from land formerly held by Thomas Baddesley as far as the land of Thomas Podnowe, and in breadth within the land formerly held by the said Thomas Podnowe as far as the demesne land of Baddesley. Given at Warrewyk' Monday next after the feast of St. Peter ad vincula 8 Henry VI [7 August 1430]. Seals: A broad tag slit to take two seals. 1. Circular seal of red wax. 3/4 in.
