Chapel Lane, High Street and Bridge Street, Stratford-upon-Avon

Description

Deed declaring uses of a fine between:
(1) Thomas Evetts of Stratford-upon-Avon, innholder, formerly carrier, and Anne his wife,
Michael Palmer sen. of the same town, blacksmith and Jane his wife,
Hugh Milward of Bridgetown in Old Stratford, yeoman, and Edward Rogers of Westminster co. Mddx. gent. and Alice his wife,

(2) Michael Palmer jun. of Stratford-upon-Avon, blacksmith, and William Smith of the same town, dyer, and

(3) John Easton of the same town, mercer, reciting a fine [see DR213/2] levied in Michaelmas term last of property in Stratford-upon-Avon, the uses whereof were agreed as follows, viz:

three messuages and gardens in Walkers Street [Chapel Lane] at the lower end abutting on Bancroft in the occupation of William Smith and Edward Urrin and late purchased by William Smith of Hugh Milward, to the use of the same William Smith;

two messuages and gardens in Bridge Street in the occupation of Michael Palmer sen., late purchased by Michael Palmer jun. of Thomas and Anne Evetts and Michael Palmer sen. and Jane his wife, to the use of the said Michael Palmer jun;

one messuage in Middle Row between Bridge Street and Backbridge Street formerly occupied by Philip Budd, deceased and then by William Horne, and late purchased by John Easton of Edward and Alice Rogers, to the use of the same John Easton. Indenture of fine annexed.
