Grant by Thomas Wheler and John Mortemer, chaplains, and Robert Thorn' to Thomas Payntur, son and heir of Robert Payntur of a half burgage in Stratford upon Auen in le Swynestret between land of the heirs of John Taylour `lynedraper' and a messuage of the Gild of the Holy Cross, which he had of the gift and feoffment of Alice late wife of the said Robert Payntur Witnesses: John Lee of Fulbroke, William Rokesley, John Lokyer, Richard Fretter', Thomas Smyzth and others Dated at Stratford upon Auen, Friday in the Feast of SS. Simon and Jude the Apostles, 14 Henry IV Seals (1) and (2) lost; (3) of red wax, circular. The letter A between palm branches. (Engraved in Fisher's Antiquities, no.101).
