Description

Deed of exchange between William Clopton, esq., and Thomas Taylour, master of the Gild of the Holy Cross etc. of Stratford upon Aven, and John Edwardes, John Elys, William Phelyppus, Thomas Michaell, Henry Moncken, Adrian Quyny, Richard Robertes and Oliuer Lightfote, aldermen of the same Gild, of a tenement with a vacant piece of land in Stratford in Heystret between a tenement of the College there and a tenement of the said Gild, for a little cottage in Stratford in le Shipstret between a tenement of the said William Clopton in which Geoffrey Barbur then dwelt and a tenement of the said Gild in which William Sharpe then dwelt; and for half of a burgage in le Churchestret, between a garden of the said William Clopton and a half burgage of the same William; and for a garden in le C[h]urchestret between a half burgage of the same William and the half of another burgage of the said Gild; and for 2 shillings rent annually of the said half burgage of the said William Clopton Dated 24 January, 9 Henry VIII Seal lost
