Account of John Plummer and Richard Walker, "Corveser," Proctors of the Guild of the Holy Cross the Blessed Mary the Virgin, and St. John the Baptist, from Monday next after the Feast of the Translation of St. Thomas the Martyr, 6 Edward IV., to the feast of St. Thomas the same Martyr, 7 Edward IV The Account is rendered under the following headings-- Arrears [Rents of Assize and legacies.] Delivery of moneys with decays of rent (Repairs to the houses; 12d for mending a cross of "laten" in the Chapel; 8d for mending the best "Baner" in the Chapel; the chief rents to the Bishop of Worcester, the Reeve of Old Stratford, and others; the purchase of twelve goblets ("ciphos") for the Feast (prandium), and for the election of the new Master; beer bought by command of the Master and Aldermen on several occasions ; 8d for horses hired on three occasions in the country to carry grain called "whete" for the Feast; 4d paid to a certain man for his trouble about the said grain; the stipends of the chaplains ; the washing of the cloths ; the salary of the clerks; for victuals for the dinner (prandium) at the rendering of the account of the Master; 2s 8d for the decay of the rent of the tenement called the "Clokhouse"; 12d for the decay of the rent of a garden, with the annual rent, from the Abbot of the Monastery of Tewkesbury during his life ; c Amongst the further allowances in the total there is one of 6s 8d for the rent of a barn in Walkerstrete, now in the tenure of John Eyres delivered to the Priests of the Guild to find "syngynge bred" and oil, and for the poor of "le Almeshouses"
