Description

Lease and release, the release being a conveyance, from Richard Cure late of Brincklowe and now of Walton in the parish of Monks Kirby gent., Thomas Freeman of Napton, co. Leics, yeoman, John Bosworth of Walton in Monks Kirby yeoman, and John Cure, Christopher Cure, Mary Cure and Lucy Cure, sons and daughters of the said Richard Cure and Mary his late wife, to Loveisgod Gregory of Stivechall esq., for £660 5s. 0d. (to Richard Cure £200, to Thomas Freeman and John Bosworth 5 shillings, to John Cure £260 and to Christopher, Mary and Lucy Cure £66 13s. 4d. apiece) of two yardlands of arable lands and leyes etc. in Brincklowe reputed to be one ploughland, also a meadow called Hell Meadow and a close called Orchard Close, alias Churchyard Close; which premises are all in Brincklowe and are in the tenure of William Colledge; to hold the same to the said Loveisgod of the chief lord of the fee, free of the jointure and dower of Katherine Bentley, widow of Richard Bentley.
