Description

Gift from John Deston' son and heir of Joan Sanders of Baddesley, late the wife of John Tedyngworth', to John Brome of Baddesley, Dom John Walker, Dom John Baxter and Dom John Sperman chaplains of two crofts lying in Baddesley between the small lane leading from a certain gate called Lydyate as far as the manor on the east side, and the land formerly belonging to Margery Dey on the west side, extending from the highway leading from Balsale towards Rowyngton as far as the land of the said John Brome. Also two other crofts lying on the other side of the said road between the said lane on the east and land lately belonging to Oliver Burdet called Newland' on the west, extending from the said road as far as the land of the said John Brome and a parcel of meadow lying in a meadow called Newland' medowe next to the meadow of the said John Brome, formerly belonging to Geoffrey Broke, and extending from the pasture of the said John Brome called Neweland' as far as the rivulet. To hold the same to the said grantees and the heirs and assigns of the said grantees and the heirs and assigns of the said John Brome for ever from the chief lords of the fee for due and customary service.
