Counterpart of indenture of assignment between Sir William Keyt of Ebrington, co. Gloucs., baronet of the first part, ffrancis Keyt of Hidcott Barthrum in the parish of Mickleton, co. Gloucs., esquire, Richard Dighton of Hidcott, esquire of the second part, Thomas Savage of Broadway, co. Worcs., gentleman of the third part and Walter Savage of Broadway, esquire of the fourth part, reciting that ffrancis Keyt by indentures tripartite dated 4 and 5 January 1687/8 between him ffrancis Keyt of Hidcott Barthrum and Alice Keyt, one of his daughters, of the first part, Richard Dighton then of Clifford als. Clifford Chambers, co. Gloucs., of the second part and Sir William Keyt of Ebrington, same county and John Baylie (since deceased) late of the University of Oxford, doctor of Civil Lawes, of the third part, in consideration of a marriage then to be had between Richard Dighton and Alice Keyt, release and confirmed to Sir William Keyt and John Baylie (in their actual possession then being by virtue of an indenture of bargain and sale dated the day before), amongst other lands, the new erected messuage and lands in Broadway, co. Worcs., then in the occupation of William Paxford, for a term of 500 years, upon trust after the solemnization of the said marriage by sale or lease to raise and pay £40 a year to Elizabeth, one of the daughters of ffrancis Keyt, separate and distinct from her husband as if she were a ffeme sole for her life, and to pay £100 to place out Charles Mason, son of Elizabeth, as an apprentice should he reach the age of 16, and to pay £400 to the said Charles Mason if he should reach the age of 23, Richard Dighton and his heirs to enjoy the overplus of the rents and profits and then witnessing that, in consideration of the sum of £1770.15s. paid by Thomas Savage to Richard Dighton in discharge of the said incumbrances, and of 5s. apeece paid to Sir William Keyt and ffrancis Keyt by Walter Savage, he, Sir William Keyt, assigned and Richard Dighton and ffrancis Keyt confirmed, to Walter Savage the messuage and lands in Broadway above mentioned for the residue of the term of 500 years, Richard Dighton to pay the several sums due under the trusts out of the consideration money, and the said tearme to wait on the freehold and inheritance of the properties, which were agreed to be conveyed to Thomas Savage.
