Early 16th century abstract of charters relating to the lands of Nicholas Brome. 1. Feoffment from John Brome esq. to Thomas Burdett, William Harewell, Thomas Scherley, Richard Hall, William Leycroft, Thomas Norton, John Walker chaplain and John Morley chaplain of all his manors, lands and appurtenances in the counties of Warwick, Leicester and Northampton. To hold the same according to the uses of his will. 6 March 8 Edward IV [1468/9]. 2. Gift from Thomas Burdett, William Harewell, Thomas Scherley, Richard Hall, William Leycroft, Thomas Norton, John Walker. chaplain and John Morley, chaplain, to Thomas Brome, eldest son of John Brome, of the manor of Woodlowe with lands and appurtenances and the following lands in the town of Warwick; a tenement in le Weststrete in the tenure of Thomas Butler carpenter, a tenement in le Hyghpament in the tenure of John Neale, another tenement there in the tenure of Thomas Wattes, a tenement in le Northstrete in the tenure of John Scherston, a tenement in le Jury in the tenure of Roger Bekett, the chief rents of two tenements in le Smythstrete, one in the tenure of Margery Lench and the other of Robert Phelyppys, a close or croft in the tenure of John Marteyn in Kyllyngworth lane near the close or croft of the Master of St. Johns, a piece of land called a garden place lying near the church of St. Nicholas in the tenure of Agnes Trewblode, a close in le Crossstrete in the tenure of Thomas Wellys, another close in the same street in the tenure of Simon Hosyer next to Uptons close, another tenement in the same street with 4 acres of arable land in Mytons field in the tenure of John Hoo, a garden place in the same street in the tenure of Thomas Derby, another garden place in le Warytrestrete in the tenure of John Best, another tenement with a piece of land in le Mylstrete together with 30 acres of land in Myton' field, a garden place in the same street in the tenure of Thomas Ball together with a barn in le Mylstrete in the tenure of John Harvy, another tenement in a street called le Markettplace in the tenure of John Harrys and a close or croft in le Mylstrete next to the Tythebarn in the tenure of Richard Comaunder, another close or croft in the same street next to the Tythbarn in the tenure of William Lancastr' another tenement in Crossestrete formerly in the tenure of Gervaise Harcote but then of William Leveng', another tenement in Smythstrete in the tenure of John Smyth and another close or croft called le Brokefurlong' in le Crossestrete in the tenure of Thomas Schotteswell.
