Settlement dated 2 February 1747/8 (Old style) [1748], on the Marriage of Thomas Johnson of Shipston-upn-Stour, baker to Mary Plestoe, youngest daughter of John Plestoe, late of Marlcliff in Bidford, gentleman, being a Conveyance from Thomas Johnson to John Newham of Rumor Hill in Welford, gentleman and William Plestoe of Evesham, baker, of land (specified) in Tidmington for £800, to hold for the use of Thomas Johnson and his intended wife, and for the longer liver of them, and then in trust for their issue.
