Description

Mortgage to lease for 99 years between John Bromley of Stratford upon Avon, maltster on the first part and Thomas Jackson of Clifford Chambers, Gloucestershire, turner on the second part. Property: one close of arable land and one pasture with appurtenances in Old Stratford now in the tenure of the said John Bromley or his assignees, lying between land late of William Reynolds, gentleman on the north and south part and extending east to the land late of William Morrell on the west part. Also barn of 5 bays on the said close standing with all rights. Conditions: to hold at a peppercorn rent unless John Bromley pay £104 to Thomas Jackson by the 1st of May 1649 when the lease shall be void.
