Grant of Goods: Clopton, Stratford-upon-Avon

Description

Declaration of Trust by Alice Wiles of Clopton, widow and administratrix of William Wiles of the same place, yeoman deceased of one part and Robert Meades of Commyns in the Parish of Snitterfield, yeoman and Shakespear Hart of Stratford, glazier of the other part. Reciting that William Wiles died leaving personal property worth £300 the greater part of which was stock upon a farm he rented and which the said Alice Wiles then rented and lived in at Clopton and left by the said Alice Wiles two children William and Alice Wiles It was thereby witnessed that Alice Wiles granted all her goods and chattels to Robert Meades and Shakespear Hart upon certain terms therein specified. Signed: Alies Wiles, Robert Meades and Shakespear Hart. Seals of red wax indecipherable. Witnesses: John Harrison, Thomas Townsend, and Thomas and Ann Hart by their marks
