Counterpart of a Lease from the Right Honourable Thomas, Viscount Weymouth, Baron Thynne of Warminster Wilts. to William Pain of Buckland Glos., labourer of a meadow called Lower Pig Close containing an acre in Buckland near to the Manor House there theretofore in the occupation of John Taylor and then of William Pain with appurtenances except minerals and timber rights, for a term of 99 years if John Savage (son of William Savage of Buckland ) then aged 44 years and Elizabeth Taylor (daughter of John Taylor late of Buckland, carpenter deceased) then aged 14 years and John Painson of William Pain then aged 10 years, or any of them should so long live, at a yearly rent of 2/- and at the dropping of any of the said lives the payment of £1 in the name of an heriot and also Suit of Court of the Manor of Buckland and Laverton. The consideration for the granting of that lease being the cancelling of a lease dated the 18th November 1765 from Lord Weymouth to William Cotterell of the premises for the lives of the said John Savage and Elizabeth Taylor then in being and of £3.
