Attested Marriage Settlement: Alveston

Description

Attested Copy Settlement made upon the Marriage of Edward Townsend and Elizabeth Bradshaw whereby Edward Townsend of Alveston, gentleman, son and heir of Thomas Townsend late of Alveston, gentleman deceased in consideration of the intended marriage with Elizabeth Bradshaw of Pryors Marston, spinster, only daughter of William Bradshaw theretofore of Ascott in the Parish of Pattishall, Northants., gentleman deceased and of £1000 conveyed to John Higgins of Tiddington, gentleman and Job Baseley the Elder of Pryors Marston, gentleman of certain hereditaments in Alveston upon the uses and Trusts of the Marriage Settlement. Witnesses: Choliab West Bradshaw, Ja. Calcutt and Simon Adams. Attested 29th. March 1852 by John Lane, Solicitor and Thomas Reeve Hobbins, his clerk, both of Stratford-upon-Avon.
