Lease and Release: Alveston

Description

Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated the 22nd November 1746 whereby Thomas Hiron of Alveston, gentleman conveyed to William Whatcott of Tiddington in the Parish of Alveston, labourer and his heirs for ever certain hereditaments in Alveston in consideration of £40 paid by William Whatcott. Signed: Thomas Hiron. Seal of red wax a lion rampant. Witnesses: Edward Townsend and Thomas Wilkes. Lease dated the 21st. November 1746 by Thomas Hiron to William Whatcott of the same premises for one year. Signed, sealed and witnessed as before. Bond dated the 22nd. November 1746 by Thomas Hiron to William Whatcott for £100, the condition of that obligation being the performance of covenants contained in ER3/2975. Signed: Thomas Hiron. Seal of red wax.
