Lease and Release: Alveston and Buckingham

Description

Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated the 10th. October 1781 whereby Thomas Bradbury of Bradwell, Bucks., clerk and Richard Lovesey of Bedford (Executors Legatees of a Trust named in the Will of Mary Baker, deceased, widow of John Baker, deceased, at the direction and appointment of Thomas Higgins theretofore of Buckingham, thereafter of Banbury and then of Crispin Street, Spitalfields, in the Parish of Christ Church, Middlesex, gentleman and Ann, his wife (theretofore Ann Baker spinster) and Mary Baker of Buckingham, spinster (which Ann Higgins nee Baker and Mary Baker were the two surviving sisters of Martha Baker, and daughters and co-heirs with the said Martha Baker of John Baker theretofore of Buckingham deceased and the said Mary Baker, his wife deceased) released to Thomas Hearn of Buckingham, gentleman a moiety of the premises in Alveston and Buckingham referred to in ER3/2992-2993 in consideration of £715 in part satisfaction of a Mortgage debt of £942 owed by Thomas Higgins and Ann, his wife to the Executors of Mary Baker, widow deceased. Witnesses: Thomas Whitworth, Whitley Sale, Joseph Lyon and Joseph Green. Attested the 30th. April 1789 by John G. Smith and Richard Knibbs. Lease by Thomas Higgins, Ann, his wife and Mary Baker to Thomas Hearn of the same premises for one year. Witnesses: Joseph Lyon and Joseph Green. Attested as before
