Contract for Redemption of Land tax: Tiddington

Description

Contract for the Redemption of Land Tax between Wriothesley Digby, esquire and the Reverend Daniel Gaches, clerk, Commissioners of Land Tax with Elizabeth Townsend of Tiddington in the Parish of Alveston in respect of a capital messuage and 25 acres in Tiddington belonging to and in the occupation of the said Elizabeth and of a messuage and 160 acres belonging to the said Elizabeth and in the occupation of Thomas Stanley in consideration of £437-5-0 capital stock to be paid by instalments. Endorsed with an assignment dated the 9th. May 1811 by the said Elizabeth to Alexander Dulse, esquire and Frances, his wife, formerly Bradshaw (which Frances was niece of the said Elizabeth) of the whole of the Land Tax redemption upon the capital messuage and 25 acres specified above.
