Lease and Release: Alveston

Description

Attested Copies of Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated the 17th. January 1789 whereby Isaac Lovell of Chesterton, grazier and John Williams of Northampton, surgeon by the direction and appointment of William Stanley of Alveston, gentleman conveyed to George Stanley of Alveston, gentleman and the heirs male of his body and in default of such issue to such other uses and trusts as should be by the will of Robert Earl Ferrers directed, the reversion of the premises referred to in ER3/3001-3002 in consideration of £4912 and also assigned to George Stanley the residue of a term of 1000 years in the said premises created by ER3/3004 to merge in the inheritance. Witnesses: John Byskin Bellamy, clerk to Mr. Wyatt, attorney of Stratford-upon-Avon and Samuel Oliver Hunt, clerk to Mr. Hunt of the same place. Attested the 2nd. December 1789 by Samuel Oliver Hunt and John Barnhurst. Lease dated the 16th. January 1789 by William Stanley to George Shirley of the same premises for one year. Witnessed and attested as before.
