Declaration re Properties: Alveston

Description

Declaration by William Waters of Alveston, labourer being then aged 78 years and having resided in Alveston for 52 years, that he was acquainted with William Stanley theretofore of Alveston who was the proprietor of two cottages at Cliff Bank in Alveston which were purchased by William Stanley of Thomas Plumb and that the said two cottages were afterwards converted into four cottages and adjoined to Ferry Lane and also to other cottages called Hands Cottages. Also that he was acquainted with William Halford late of Alveston, gentleman who about the year 1810 purchased of Edward Hands two cottages at Cliff Bank and that sometime afterwards two other cottages were built upon the garden of the said two cottages purchased from Hands.
