Attested Copy of Fine: Church Street and Coten End, Warwick

Copy of a Fine levied in the Court of Common Pleas at Westminster, Michaelmas Term 1655, before Oliver St. John, Edward Atkins, Matthew Hales and Hugh Wyndham, H. M. Justices between Job Murcott the younger, gentleman and John Yardley the younger, gentleman, plaintiffs and John Townsend, esquire, deforciant, of 5 messuages, 2 barns, 7 gardens, 7 orchards, 100 acres of land, 10 acres of meadow, 10 acres of pasture, 2 acres of furze heath and common of pasture for all cattle in Warwick. Copy Indenture dated 18 April 1655 to declare uses of the above Fine, made between John Townsend of Warwick, esquire of one part and Job Murcott and John Yardley of the other part. Reciting the above Fine and specifying the property therein included being situate in Church Street and Coten End Warwick it was witnessed that the said Fine should enure to the use of the said John Townsend and his heirs for ever. Witnesses: John Hunte, Thomas Hunt and John Greene. Attested the 11th. December 1675 by John Dakins and William Tatersalle, servants to John Midgeley Senior.
