Agreement to Grant a Lease: Mancetter

Description

Agreement between John [Newdigate] Ludford of Ansley Hall, esquire and William Bates of Hartshill Castle in the parish of Mancester, wheelwright, whereby the said John Ludford covenanted to grant a Lease of certain closes of arable Meadow and pasture called the Lewes containing 17 acres and situate in the parish and the Hamlet of Hartshill in the parish of Mancester for a term of one year from the 25th. March then ensuing and from year to year at a yearly rent of £11-3-0. Signed: J. Ludford and William Bates. Seals of red wax 1) An Armorial seal of the Ludford family and 2) a Boars Head Couped.
