Agreement to Grant a Lease: Arley

Description

Agreement between John [Newdigate] Ludford of Ansley Hall, esquire LL.D. and John Topp of Ansley, butcher whereby John Ludford covenanted to grant a Lease of a messuage and shop and closes of arable meadow and pasture called Tanner's Yard, Nether Meadow, Upper Meadow and the Pingle containing 7 acres usually let with the said messuage, also three closes called the Three Long Fields and Stewards Meadow containing 21 acres also a dwelling house with 16 acres in Arley to John Topp for a term of one year form the 25th March then next ensuing and from year to year at a yearly rent of £45.
